NBA Bets On A Budget: March 3rd

Good start to the betting series yesterday going 2-1. Lots of good favorites today. While underdog bets are fun to hit, taking the easy money from playing the favorites is always a smart choice. Some money is better than no money.

Chicago Bulls (-4) vs Atlanta Hawks, pub-1100396528751056, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

DeMar Derozan is the ultimate “Put the team on my back” player when it comes to the eastern conference. A roster funneled through an elite scorer like him (34.2 ppg in February) while also having Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic is too much for the depleted Hawks roster. While the Bulls did just beat them by 4 on 2/24, this Hawks lineup looks to be without Okongwu, Collins and a newly injured Trae Young (ankle). Take the points with confidence in this potential blow out win for Chicago.

Memphis Grizzlies (+1) vs Boston Celtics

Ja Morant is must watch TV. After scoring 40+ in three of his last four games including a 50-burger in his last game, ain’t no way somebody can tell me another team should be any sort of favorite against the Grizz. Especially a Celtics team who will be without Jaylen Brown due to injury. This line has already moved a little from +2.5 so keep an eye on it. If it moves any more towards the Grizz then switch to just taking the money line.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers (Under 220.5)

While Lebron has been questionable every game since the All-Star break without missing one, there’s just something about this game that makes me feel like he’s trending towards out. The Lakers are a dumpster fire even with Lebron and the Clippers are nothing special. They just played the other day and combined for 207 so I can’t see this one going anywhere near 220.

Miami Heat (-2.5) vs Brooklyn Nets

Let’s be honest, the only reason this is just a 2.5 point spread is because the news of Durant coming back. While I’m excited to see Durant back in action, they’ll still be without Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons, the Cam Thomas hype has really died down and Durant is almost guaranteed to be on a minutes restriction after missing 6 weeks. If Durant hadn’t been mentioned this would be a double digit spread. Take the points and enjoy the easy W.
